Clue explainedFact checked
Yoko Ono is the artist named here, and she took part in the 1969 Bed-Ins for Peace with John Lennon. Rather than holding a conventional rally, the couple stayed in bed in hotel rooms and used the media attention to promote peace during the Vietnam War. They staged Bed-Ins in Amsterdam and Montreal; in Montreal, Lennon recorded “Give Peace a Chance” with Ono and other visitors. The event joined performance art and protest in a deliberately memorable way.
