Clue explained

Atari released Centipede, the 1980 arcade game in which players fend off a segmented insect moving down the screen. Its trackball controller made it possible to aim quickly in any direction, and the game became one of Atari’s best-known coin-operated hits. Designer Ed Logg worked on it with Dona Bailey, one of the few women developing arcade games at the time.
